The Brief

Creamsource are an innovative company that builds lights for the film industry that were interested in understanding whether a new product idea had strong product-market fit.

The Approach

Mimosa Partners worked closely with the Creamsource team to determine if their new product idea was desirable, feasible and viable and who the market might be. We did the following:

  • Conducted a series of workshops with the project team to develop hypothesis empathy maps, customer needs, value proposition and key features.

  • Conducted workshop to define business model including pricing options.

  • Tested the key hypotheses with a series of potential customers.

  • Developed findings report including refined needs, value proposition and features and an analysis of product-market fit and potential revenue.

The Outcome

Creamsource had the information they needed to make an informed decision about the future of their product and its priority within their current plans. If and when they decided to move forward with the product, they had the information needed to go to a more detailed design and minimum viable product.
