Case Study
IT Product Catalogue
Mimosa Partners was engaged by an education client to provide service and UX design services in the delivery of an IT catalogue.
What we did
Mimosa Partners conducted research with a range of end users of the catalogue and key insights were developed with personas and customer journeys.
We worked with the project team to develop information architecture and an interface design. Both concept and usability testing was conducted to ensure the design was fit for purpose.
Mimosa Partners also provided HCD capability development through a variety of workshop sessions. These workshops were key to developing a shared understanding of the solution across the project team, giving them a strong design foundation to move forward from.
We found that there were a range of users types for the catalogue, based on their key tasks. We also found some users had more complex needs which required a different approach. This information was used to create personas which informed the ongoing design and change management approach.
While the interface and catalogue were key to the user experience, we found the biggest concern for users was with the associated process. This finding helped to launch a separate project to review the end-to-end experience.
