Case Study
IT Governance service design
Mimosa Partners was engaged by an education client to design a future state IT governance model using service design methodologies
What we did
Our client had an existing governance model that over time had been adapted to fit a range of new use cases. It was now time to revisit the model and build a scalable solution to meet the organisations growing needs more effectively.
Mimosa Partners conduct desk research and synthesized a large volume of work that had already been conducted. We built a strawman of a new model, that we continued to iterate while conducting research interviews and workshops with a broad range of stakeholders.
The design was further iterated through collaborative workshops with the various business areas.
We found that a lot of work had been done in this space but most was at a detailed level within teams.
A holistic solution was needed that sat across the teams and was easily understood by customers. This was delivered through the design of a service model.
The overarching experience was also resequenced so that activities occurred in a more effective order.
The final delivery included a future state service model, a set of concepts and roadmap to delivery.
